ABOUT US

Hi, we are Jake & Saydi from the band Tyche (pronounced “thai-key”). Formed in Long Beach 2020, our primary project has been to create an album and visual story of leaving our life in the desert, powering through the pandemic and creating a new version of ourselves that we love and are grateful for. Call it bad luck or a calling, being a part of this city during some of the darkest times in America has caused us to slow down, reevaluate, and focus on who we truly are and what we were put on this earth to do.

Our album, “Welcome Home” is that story. Recorded here at Dream Machine, this building has been a comforting part of our journey and we would love the opportunity to live in the same environment we found solace in.

From Saydi-

I moved to California to lean my focus primarily to collaborative songwriting and production. I worked full time in corporate entertainment in Scottsdale, AZ from 2015-2019 and felt the need to break from entertaining and solely focus on storytelling, writing and composition. I have a degree in audio production and also graduated from LAAMP (Los Angeles Academy of Artists and Music Production) June 2023. Besides music Jake and I both do photography, create music videos and are currently working on a children’s book based off of our rescue dog, Timber.

Our hobbies include cooking, taking our dog to the beach and surfing whenever we can get away! We also love finding weird movies.
